MISSION:
In honor of Self Improvement Month (September), I want to initiate a month-long hashtag campaign. This campaign will focus on women being more confident in who they are, and choosing to embrace their natural skin and body with a bold red lip. In a society where covering your natural beauty is not promoted, I want to liberate women of ALL shapes and sizes. Many times, women feel more confident wearing their red lips. With this campaign, I want women everywhere to stand together and live in that confidence.
MY STORY:
I remember being discouraged about how I looked. I didn’t fit what is considered acceptable by society's standards. I have always been rather petite with small breasts and everything in between. I could not stand my freckles and was very insecure about my appearance. When I finally realized that my red lip brought out my natural beauty and confidence, everything changed for me. I would throw on some mascara and a red lip and feel like I conquered the day. I started rocking my red lipstick to interviews with a natural face, and I would nail it every time. I tell people all the time that your confidence is what lands you the job. You want to be as memorable as possible. This was the birth of the #NaturalMeRed Campaign.
