We all have a hard time with managing social media and that is why I wanted to give some of my favorite tips. Tips that I have used and that work for me. There have been lots of trial and errors when it comes to social media for myself. So every week I am going to be offering my tips that work for me in building my audience.
So without prolonging anymore here we go!
TIP #1 ENGAGEMENT:
This may seem like a pretty self explanatory thing, but it is not that explanatory for most. Engaging with your audience is fundamental to growth. Do not just leave emoji actually have a back and forth dialogue with your audience. When they ask you a question answer them. People forget that followers want to know that you are real person. Not some robot that posts 3 times a week.
Instagram you can kind of get lost in just posting that you forget to actually engage with others. Twitter & Facebook you are sort of forced to have some kind of dialogue. I will say that for me Twitter I get the most engagement. People feel like they can relate to you by what you post and what you reply to. It sort of forces you to engage. Well it does for me when I get all the notifications. However, you will also be pleasantly surprised at the amount of people that say they want to grow, but they don't interact. They focus so much on posting that they don't actually have conversations.
Yes, you took an amazing picture.
Yes, your content is great.
Yes, we love that lipstick you are wearing.
BUT....
How can we (the audience) relate to you? Me personally if you do not interact with me on social media and there was in fact a question asked. I will not ask questions in the future.
So, basically take the time to engage with your audience. Past a simple HEART emoji.
